The Purpose

The Utah Networking Golf League is made up of local business owners and professionals that get together weekly for the specific purpose of getting to know like minded colleagues and creating long-lasting professional and personal relationships. It's NOT a round robin attempt to sell to each other like other networking groups or events. We define networking as getting to know others and offering them resources to help build their business or practice, knowing that what goes around, comes around.

The Format

The league will start in the spring and will run through the end of the summer. We also hold a year-end tournament at Thanksgiving Point. Before we go out and golf, there is a 30 minute general networking session where we make introductions, listen to a word from members of the group, cover league business, and head out to play the course! We play 1 nine-hole round every week at various golf courses throughout the local area. We typically play in foursomes on the back nine in a shotgun style of play. Foursomes change every week so you'll have the opportunity to golf along side many different people from various walks of life.

The Skill Level

Whether you're a scratch golfer or it's you're first time out, you're welcome to come play! As a league, our main focus is on the networking aspect, and golf comes secondary. Many of our members are new to golf, and that’s ok! We play with an 8-stroke maximum per hole. So if you aren’t able to get to the hole in 8 strokes, you can simply pick up your ball and move to the next hole with your group. Many times, our more experienced golfers will offer tips and guidance to help improve your game. Either way, the best way to improve is by getting out on the course.
